About Me

I’m a designer based between New York City and Tokyo, born and raised in Hong Kong. I’m currently a Communication Design student at Pratt Institute, with a minor in UI/UX.

I enjoy how visual systems shape perception, behavior, and value and try to bring that into my own work. By approaching design within the intersection of graphic design, illustration, storytelling, and cultural observation—often exploring how design moves beyond aesthetics to influence how we feel, act, and understand the world around us. I’m especially drawn to projects that investigate identity, routine, and consumer culture. Whether I’m designing packaging, motion, or spatial experiences, I approach each project as a system, considering how materials, form, typography, and interaction work together to communicate an idea.

Currently, I’m expanding my practice into motion and UI/UX design, focusing on building experiences that are both visually engaging and conceptually clear. I’m always looking for new ways to translate abstract ideas into tangible forms.

I also have a strong interest in printed media and independent publishing. I have a heavy interst in creating zines and being around communities celebrating printed media, drawn to the tangibility of physical media and the creative constraints it offers. My illustration work is shared on Instagram @rawleafclover.
