This zine explores my personal struggles with having curly hair, especially within the context of Japanese beauty standards, where straight hair is often the norm—and curly hair is rarely acknowledged as a natural or acceptable option. Through this work, I aim to challenge that stigma and celebrate the uniqueness of curly hair, encouraging others to embrace their natural texture with pride.
